2:00 – 2:10 Welcome – Mark Joron (gofor at nt.net)

Goal : How can we participate in Citizen Science. What data can we collect (collectively) that will advance the data collection efforts in the area. We would like to ask the public to participate in making observations of our natural environment, something many of us do each and every day. Our workshop will cover the opportunities and tools available to us in our data collection efforts. Observations are easy, providing the information to the right person in a timely manner is not always as easy. We will cover the tools you will need and give you specific directions about who wants to hear about what.

How can we in Timmins Help efforts across the Province, Country and World.

Next steps. Do we do this again? When? - Mark Joron

Poster photo submissions. Wildflowers and orchids. Wildlife.
Everyone is a photographer, everyone can email or phone me. Talk to your friends about this meeting and the information.

It is hard to ask what you want to have on the next agenda when many of these projects you did not even know where in the works. Library Closes at 5:00, so we can not go too much over time. I expect 30 members of the public, but the room will hold 80 with standing room. I have 2 worries, no one will show, 100 will show.

Resources to have on hand : The sportsman show will have been the week before, but we will still have all the maps and posters available, or at least an example of each. I will make sure I have some posters from the Toronto Zoo Turtle Tally people.

What else? What have you got? I have also booked the Library display case from April 29th – May 26th.
